Van’s Air Force Oz - Wedderburn Wing

VH-BXN

Six years to build and some 6500 hours of logged time under the old CAO 101.28 amateur built category. Light Speed Electronic Ignition in place of the right magneto. All fibreglass cowls and fairings except wing tips scratch built using epoxy resin. Pilot controlled engine oil temp through oil cooler air valve. Genuine 172 kt TAS cruise at 8500 ft 2400 RPM. Built to take-off shorter, climb faster, cruise higher and faster, carry more, perform better and land slower using 1/4 the fuel of anything powered by a noisy commie radial!
