Day to day Management of Network(s)

Taking the IT Strategic Plan and the Tactics developed from it and driving the networks so as to achieve them. This involves the management of the System Procedures (documented in the Procedures Manual), development activities and troubleshooting.

Ensure procedures are followed

This means monitoring system activity and noting any security lapses. All security lapses should be investigated and action taken to prevent recurrences. However, remember that Users are human, and will forget passwords at times...

Educate all staff on Security Procedures and reasons for them

An educated work force is generally beneficial to the organisation. Knowledge of the Security Procedures and the reasons for them will go a long way towards getting all users to follow them.
