O'Reilly & associates have just released a book entitled "Cracking DES: Secrets of Encryption Research, Wiretap Politics & Chip Design" by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
The book claims that the US Department of Defense's Data Encryption Algorithm (DES) can be cracked, simply and quickly.
