Mastering Intranet and Internet Technology

• keep a pen and paper handy at all times

• log all on-line activity to disk, where possible

• explore graphically, retrieve by email

• do as much preparation off-line as possible

• keep mail files on your laptop, but backup to the LAN.

• if you have a question or problem, ask on the Internet!

• order more hard disk storage (I'm not kidding!)

• buy as much data transmission capacity as you can afford (still not kidding!)

• be patient...

• seriously consider appointing an Internet Searcher who will become expert at searches.

• define a directory for your Internet data repository and stick to it.
