Hints
Try another work station.
Back up data on line before breaking a connection.
Work on most critical system first.
Be precise - is the error message from the BIOS, DOS, Shell, LAN, host, network or program? - is the message an alert or a report?
See the problem - have it demonstrated to you.
Duplicate the problem as reported - see if it happens if you follow the manual.
Run a monitoring program on one work station while you load a troublesome application on another.
Keep people informed.
Remember the QUIT keystrokes.
